Visitors can participate in dance workshops to learn the traditional dance styles of the Cook Islands Ura for both males and females, which are characterised by intricate hip movements and rhythmic leg work. These workshops often include instruction on the cultural significance and storytelling elements of the dances.
Ukelele/Drumming Workshops
The Cook Islands have a strong musical heritage, with traditional drumming and ukulele playing being integral parts of the culture. Visitors can join workshops to learn how to play the Cook Islands' traditional drums and/or the ukulele, a beloved instrument in Polynesian music.
